3-Vehicle Crash Kills Man In Burgettstown Sidney Dewayne Cumpston Dies In Main Street Accident BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — A Burgettstown man was  killed in a three-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Main Street.

State police identified the victim as Sidney Dewayne Cumpston, 50. The  crash happened at about 7 a.m. Cumpston’s northbound pickup truck was trying to pass a car near the Erie  Street intersection, police said. The other car had stopped for a third car that  was turning left in front of it.  Cumpston’s vehicle hit the rear driver-side area of the stopped car and  continued into the oncoming lane, where it collided with the third car, police  said.  The driver of the third car was taken to a hospital with minor injuries,  and the driver of the second car was not injured, police said.  Cumpston was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
