I’ve found the following North Yorkshire peoples’ deaths on the LIST OF UNCLAIMED
BONA VACANTIA ESTATES
The list details estates referred to the Bona Vacantia Division from 1 January 1997 onwards which have not, as yet, been claimed by entitled blood relatives. The list will be updated and placed on the website on the first working day of each month.
The Division’s records are only computerised from 1 January 1997 onwards and
information regarding estates dealt with by the Division before this date is contained within paper archives. This information is difficult and costly to retrieve, and consequently will not be added to the list on the website.
Values of estates are no longer publicised on their website or in their press advertisements. The purpose in advertising is to try and find any relatives entitled to the estate in priority to the Crown. Including the value of the estate plays no role in this and indeed may help to put the estate assets at risk. In order to safeguard estates they will not be giving any information out about the size of an estate until a kin claim has been admitted by Treasury Solicitor’s department.
Does anyone recognise these people?
