There is a searchable index to Georgian Newspapers held in the Bath Archives. Copies of historic Bath newspapers are held by the Local Studies section of Bath Library, including those indexed in this project.  Until recently, it could be very time-consuming to find information in the newspapers.  Now you can search the Georgian Newspaper Project database on many subjects, including art, fashion, crime, punishment, pets and politics, to find out about life in Georgian Bath.  You can also search by names, and by any other words in the database.

The database contains information from the Bath Chronicle for the years 1770-1800: work on the database is still in progress.
