Missouri Digital Heritage – William COMPSTON

William was a private in the Civil War, on the Union side. Provisional Enrolled Missouri Militia in Company C. Office of Adjutant General Record of Service Card, Civil War, 1861-1865 Box 17 Reel s00818

He enrolled and was organised on May 13th 1863 at Weston Mo and ordered into active service the same day by General WP Hall.  He was relieved from duty on 17th September 1863 by Col. Wililams.  Remarks – joined US Service.

Does anyone recognise William – I would like to know more about his history.
