Charles CUMBER b 1836 Toronto

Cherie Czumak cczumak@aol.com wrote to me about Charles Cumber.

Charles CUMBER b. 1836 was her Great Grandfather — He was a quaker and attended the Ackworth school in Yorkshire (1845-1850) and was the ordinary seaman on the Dispatch.

He married Anna Maria Louisa TALLENT B. 1841 — they had one daughter Ethelinda CUMBER b.1860.  In 1862 they all came to Canada (Toronto) and had several other children.  His wife, Anna died about 1877-8.  Charles then married her sister Mirian E. H. TALLENT on May 6, 1879 and they had two more children, the first of these two being her Grandfather Thomas Sharshaw CUMBER b. 11-29-1879
