The original images can be saved. Christine, a friend in Canada, searched on key words to bring up ’6 Jun 1831 – The beautiful suspension bridge over the river Yore at Middleham, in Yorkshire, fell in December. A number of cattle, passing over at the time, it is supposed caused the accident.

DEATHS. On the 20th April, at Reeth, Yorkshire, George Chalder, aged 88 ; father of
Thomas Chalder, Heathcote, St, Peter’s. He had been agent for the several
Hurst Lead Mining Companies for 65 years.
