I was delighted to hear from Robert Watt member of the Orders and Medals Research Society. He possesses in his collection a Hull Seaman’s and General Orphan Asylum medal for William Henry Cumpston. 
William Henry was a gifted child who published poetry and went on to become a newspaper editor. He had a troubled time though when charged with attempted murder. You can read his story on my website at
