Wheal Cumpston Devon – tin mine

Wheal Cumpston (Wheal Combestone; Steepehill) Dartmeet Southern Dartmoor, Devon England

A small but ancient tin mine located within Combestone Woods, half a mile down river from Dartmeet on the western side of the river. All that remains is an overgrown gulley and pits encorporating a ruined Tinner’s hut and an adit (drive) below the main gulley at the bottom of the hill.
