From NYCRO film number 27, Parish registers of Danby Wiske. Baptisms in 1810 Jane daughter of Christopher Metcalf, blacksmith, and Jane his wife daughter of Matthew COMPERSTON, was born 12th and baptised 13th May 1810.
This is a new variant of the name CUMPSTON – please let me know if you recognise these people.
