Mary CUMPSTON

On 4th April 2011 I received a message from  Catherine at catherineahuw@talktalk.net

‘You’ve  got a will from this lady in 1833. I wonder if you know anything about her roots, please ?  I suspect she’s a distant (Rogers) relative of mine, and I was wondering whether you knew anything else about her.’

I replied as follows: you will see under the Shropshire pages that I have quite a lot of data on this family but I can’t tie her in yet.  It would be really helpful if you could tell me a little more about your own ancestry to see if we can work together to solve the connection.  It is clear that her brother was Richard Rogers.

CUMPSTON search Batch Number: C048861   International Genealogical Index

 PARENTS JAMES AND MARY

THOMAS COMPSON Christening: 29 NOV 1818 Shifnal, Shropshire, JAMES COMPSON  Christening: 06 APR 1821 Shifnal, Shropshire, EDWARD COMPSON Christening: 27 JUL 1823 Shifnal, Shropshire, see child below in 1851

I wonder if this Mary is the one – she had 3 children between 1818 and 1823 and then no more.  A will about 1833 could have been hers.  When searching look at all the options of spelling – take a look at my variants pages http://www.cumpston.org.uk/#/cumpston-variants-1a/4533301999

And http://www.cumpston.org.uk/#/cumpston-variants-1b/4533310617

Does anyone recognise this family?
