ON 4th April I received a message from firstname.lastname@example.org saying:
‘My Great grandfather re-located from a coal district in England to Connecticut, USA. He lived well into his 90′s. Had 5 sons, Robert, a pilot who was shot down in WWII, Francis, my Grandfather, Gordon, Melbourne, and Fred. Melbourne was the last to die 1-2 years ago. My father, Donald lives in Ct aged 80 and married to Effie Edith Siegfried. They have 6 children, myself, Anne, older brother John David, Peter Scott, William Mark, Jane Zamichieli and Jennifer.
I am pretty certain that my Great grandfather had added the E to -ston when he immigrated to the USA. His wife was from Wales.’
